Priorities are defined as something given special attention. We all have priorities…some are good and some are bad or misplaced. Sometimes we think too much about ourselves when we set priorities. Some choose drugs, alcohol, and stealing (just to name a few) as their priorities in life. When these become priorities before other things, it’s time to reevaluate your life. It may be time to seek help.
I believe that if your priorities are your faith, family, health, career, and living your purpose from the man upstairs, then you’re moving in the right direction.
Helping others is a positive priority and it gives your list of important things a good balance. When we help others or give to others, I think that it fulfills our purpose in this life. I don’t mean that you need to run out and give your life savings to the needy. Serving others as a priority can be something as simple as entertaining people. The happiness that you spread by being a singer, or actor, or a teacher that entertains through your own unique style, can do more help than any other thing you do. Find something in your life that that you enjoy and that makes others smile and gives a positive impression of who you are. It can have an everlasting effect on others. Don’t ignore yourself! It’s important that you make yourself a priority first, that will help you better help others. I know I’ve had many fans tell me how I’ve entertained them throughout their lives by doing what I do best- wrestling. That gives me a sense of importance.
So stick to positive priorities and make your life count. Make others smile by doing what YOU do best, just by being you. It’s true.
