Letting Go of the Past

Letting Go of the Past-Kurt Angle Official BlogAll of us have made mistakes in the past. The thing about them that usually affects us the most are the guilt feelings that we have for what we’ve done, those are difficult to let go of.

I think of the mistakes that I’ve made in my life, and it literally disgusts me, but I pray on it every day and the message that GOD gives to me is to let go of the past. You can’t change it, you can only change what you do from here on out.

I never expected ANY part of my life to end up in turmoil, but some of it did and I bounced back by letting it go. I made a promise that I wouldn’t make the same mistakes again. I will NOT allow those dark moments in my life define who I am, because it wasn’t who I truly am, I know that I’m better than that.

If any of you realize and accept the mistakes that you’ve made, and you continue to try to make your life better, then you CAN make it better, because you acknowledge your faults. You can’t be in denial. That’s the first step to healing and succeeding: acceptance. When you accept what you’ve done wrong in your life, you will eventually realize what you need to do to improve your life. If you don’t think that you’ve made any mistakes in your life, take a moment to reflect, and understand that ignorance is a part of denial.

We ALL can improve on our lives, but it takes acceptance, forgiveness of yourself and others, and the patience and time to prove to yourself and everybody else around you that you ARE capable of being trustworthy and competent.

Forgive…love…believe in yourself. Prove that you have the ability to help yourself and others. This is YOUR life, make it count. It’s true!
