Trust and Respect

Trust and Respect-Kurt Angle Official BlogRespect is earned, not given. If you are well respected, you are successful in life. And when you’re successful in life, it truly has more meaning.

The only way to earn respect is through your actions, actions DO speak louder than words. Words can only take you so far, and part of earning respect is also about your respect for others and building trust and credibility in your relationships.

Trust means everything when it comes to your family, friends, coworkers, and peers. How can someone love you or even like you if they do not trust you? Trust is the cornerstone of success in both your relationships and your career. Sometimes it’s easy to earn someone’s trust, but if you ever lose it, it’s much harder to get it back, especially if you’ve done something to hurt your relationship or reputation with that person.

If you’ve damaged any relationship by lying or hurting someone else and you want to restore it, do whatever is necessary to rebuild trust and gain back respect. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and regaining someone’s trust won’t happen overnight either. It may take time but be patient, and know that you need to work at it “one day at a time”. When you do earn it back; you will know it, you will feel it, and you will love it. It’s the beginning of a whole new chapter in your life and everything you desire will become a lot easier than you imagined.

So start your new chapter and be persistent about it. Be responsible about your actions and stay true to yourself and those around you, your whole entire life will change for the better. Your actions will be noticed and may inspire others to do the same.

This is your life, you can do incredible things if you are trusted and respected, it will take you a long way in your journey, and that my friend is true. It’s damn true!!!
